Campus Retirement Gifts
Retiring non-academic staff members and their supervisors should email Library Human Resources for information about their campus retirement gift. Campus retirement gift requests must be submitted at least six weeks in advance to be completed by the retirement date. According to UC policy, academic employees are not eligible to receive University retirement gifts.
Library Retirement Gifts
The Library will provide Amazon gift certificates for all retirees in the amount of $250. Email our HR Business Partner for more information.
Library Retirement Party Policy Guidelines
The Library has two staff appreciation parties that honor retirees and staff annually. Retirees will be recognized for their contributions and presented with flowers and certificates of appreciation.
If co-workers want to have individual celebrations for retirees to mark their contributions and years of service to the Library, they are encouraged to plan a traditional "potluck" style event to honor them in lieu of the catered events previously funded by the Library.
