Statement of Purpose:

The purpose of the Berkeley Technical Services Discussion Group (BTECH) is to bring together on a monthly basis library staff members, from all technical service units and subject specialty libraries:

  • to address any procedures that are ambiguous or hard to understand
  • to improve job skills through training workshops

The group also advises and makes recommendations to the Cataloging & Metadata Council, when appropriate or necessary, for further discussion and decision on formal issues of library technical service policy.
