UC Berkeley Library

You can still access the UC Berkeley Library's services and resources. Here's how.

Using the Library during COVID-19

Many of our services are now being offered in new ways. To find the latest information on course reserves, book returns, 24/7 online help, and more, visit our Library services and resources during COVID-19 page. The information on that page supersedes all other information on the Library website at this time.

Non-UC Berkeley individual patrons wishing to borrow material from the UC Berkeley library collections should have their local interlibrary services department contact the Interlibrary Lending Service.

Photoduplication Service

The Photoduplication Service provides fee-based access to reproductions of a variety of materials (e.g. scans of articles or chapters, theses and dissertations, microfilms, maps) within the UC Berkeley library collections to other institutions, organizations and the general public.

Special Library Access Service (SLA)

The Special Library Access Service (SLA) provides fee-based access to resources in the UC Berkeley library collections to libraries, information centers, corporations, and other organizations on a subscription basis.

Borrowers from other UC campuses

  • Use your local version of Melvyl to find and request materials from UC Berkeley or other UC libraries outside of your home campus.
  • Consult with your local interlibrary services department for more information on requesting materials from UC Berkeley.
