Using the Library during COVID-19

Many of our services are now being offered in new ways. To find the latest information on course reserves, book returns, 24/7 online help, and more, visit our Library services and resources during COVID-19 page. The information on that page supersedes all other information on the Library website at this time.

CED Visual Resources Center

Feb 24 - Mar 2

The Visual Resources Center is a library of teaching and research images, primarily serving the College of Environmental Design at the University of California, Berkeley.

Use Policies:

Users not affiliated with the University of California are welcome to view our collections in person during open hours. It is highly recommended that outside users call ahead to determine if the material they are interested in is available. Outside users with legitimate need can apply for an outside users card which enables them to borrow certain 35mm slides on a limited basis for a small fee.

The Visual Resources Center holds over 82,000 digital images, over 300,000 35mm slides, and 37,000 lantern slides depicting architecture, landscapes, cities, and related material.
