Giving to the C. V. Starr East Asian Library

Content section:

From its origins, the C. V. Starr East Asian Library has benefited from the generosity of the community both inside and outside the walls of the University. John Fryer’s gift in kind seeded the collection at the end of the nineteenth century; the financial support of Library friends has made possible the construction of a new building at the outset of the twenty-first. In the interim, gifts and support from faculty, alumni, friends—and sometimes even strangers—have enriched the collection and access to it immeasurably. EAL Reading Room
