The UC Berkeley Library has recently announced the launch of its new Equity and Inclusion Committee, and is seeking participation from members of the UC Berkeley community.

In the summer of 2020, the Library embarked on a new effort to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization and through outreach to and engagement with Library users. Among other things, the Library implemented new training requirements, rewrote the charges to all of its operational committees, and made some modifications to Library spaces. The Library also created the Task Force on Racial Justice, which produced a set of recommendations

To support and guide its ongoing efforts, the Library has created the Equity and Inclusion Committee. The Library is seeking participation not only from Library employees, but also from faculty, staff, and students throughout the UC Berkeley community.

If you are interested in joining the committee, please fill out this form. If you’d like to nominate someone else, please fill out this form.
