The internal note 1 field is used for information about the item that is NOT intended for display in the UC Library Search. Use this field for notes of interest only to staff. Notes of interest to UC Library Search users should be entered in the Public Note field. Notes related to or of interest to Fulfillment staff should be entered in the Fulfillment Note (contents of this field are displayed during the circulation process).
During the migration, all Millennium notes in the Internal Note (x) field migrated to Internal Note 1 field in Alma. Going forward prepend the new note at the beginning of the existing notes, separated by the vertical pipe ( | ). Enter the note according to the following format standard:
yyyymmdd [text of the note] [your Alma user initials (username minus any trailing numerals) or if you do not have Alma user initials use your unit abbreviation (two letters) and your initials]
Example: 20220714 replaced by barcode C123456789 mamm
