Conference Information

The last several years have been particularly challenging for higher education and academic libraries as universities see a growth of online education, moves towards greater open access, student diversification and globalization, all within the context of drastic budgetary reductions and changing sources of revenue for public education.

Please join the Librarians Association of the University of California, Berkeley Division as we explore the major trends emerging in higher education, and how libraries participate in, benefit from, and respond to these changes.

When: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Friday, October 21, 2011

Where: David Brower Center, 2150 Allston Way, Berkeley CA

  • Christopher Edley, Dean of UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall), on “The Future of Public Education at UC”
