The Library Data Services Program guides scholars to discover, access, share, and preserve data through dataset acquisition, discovery, and librarian-led instruction and consultations.

  • Data management plan guidance for grant proposals and project workflows
  • Basic and intermediary support for tools, concepts, and workflows for geographic information system (GIS) services, qualitative, and quantitative data

Data literacy

  • Provide and coordinate undergraduate and graduate student instruction to address data literacy and research data lifecycle concepts
  • Basic data visualization

Data collection

  • Advice and basic support for data collection platforms and tools (surveys, text and data mining)

Data publication and reuse

  • Licensing and rights management for data publishing
  • Publishing, sharing, persistence, reproducing, and preserving/archiving data for future discovery and use.
