Film examines the complexity of day-to-day life at the Penal Garcia Moreno in Quito, Ecuador, a prison that has become a powerful symbol of "modernity." The film focuses on a riot, which took place on a visitation day on Dec. 8, 2004 during which 370 people were held hostage. Directed by Mateo Herrera. Presented at the International Latino Film Festival held in the San Francisco Bay Area. 2005. 93 min.
