Reference Inquiries

Bancroft staff are available to assist you with reference and basic research inquiries about Bancroft collections. You can reach us in these ways:

Inquiries whether an image has been digitized may be submitted through the Digital Copy Inquiry Form.

Independent Researchers

If you are unable to come to The Bancroft Library personally to examine materials, consider hiring a local researcher. Please send an email to bancref@library.berkeley.edu to request a current list of independent researchers who have extensive knowledge of Bancroft collections and are available for hire.

If you would prefer to hire a student to assist you with your research, please contact the UC Berkeley Career Center.
