They are testing existing resources via their evaluation workflow to see if anything missing; writing a report to be reviewed by CSC: write up of process, investment criteria, next year's workflow, how items get into workflow; aiming for report completion by end of next wk. CSC can review for a few weeks - next month at CSC they can give a brief presentation & answer questions.

Green Glass Update (JANR) · We have sent payment to OCLC for Green Glass and have sent all our files to them; reconciliation of our holdings w/ OCLC, and analysis in process. We should have something to look at by Aug.; this will be a rich source of info on our collection. All of our holdings info was sent; nothing was held back: special collections, serials [however, the tool does not analyze serial holdings…], reference works w/ no circulation, etc.: we wanted a comprehensive analysis. We also have identified several specialize peer groups (eg, area studies etc …)

CDL One-time purchase updates (JANR) · About a year ago UCOP awarded cdl $1.6 mil to level up access to collections across campuses; COUL asked that half be used for OA material, but this was waived for this year:

Collections budget--what we know at this point in time (JANR) · No new info; awaiting hearing from JMM. Anticipating budget cuts. Large under-encumbrance due to inability to purchase or receive physical material. Idea to use some funds for microfilm conversion. Also, there is support for instruction resilience items - folks should bring ideas to their Div Head.
-
Action item: Mark to get order to invoice timeline for Gobi ebooks
-
17.5 days from encumbrance to payment for Gobi ebooks. 17 days is the median.
-
Proposals to spend down FY 2019-2020 surplus? (JANR) · Discussion leaked from above to this.
-
Gobi Approval Plan Update (JS) · Went live on Apr 20 for ebooks. Any ebooks in GOBI: check library history for collection invoiced/shipped. SLM will have spreadsheet of items not being sent in print from previous print approval plans. List comes out late Wed; sLM has instructions on how to deal. Y-slips will keep coming; ebooks on Y are those that aren't purchased; any print books on Y: check Gobi for ebook. Gobi does hold print slips for 2 months in case the book comes out in ebook. Question asked about whether we keep track of ebooks that exceed the $200 limit for purchase, when the print book was under. JANR said we are keeping track of this; MH said it will get kicked to lower level (ie, unlimited to 3-user to 1-user)

Discussion ensued and folks seemed interested in pursuing; ideas will be collected in the near future.
