In compliance with the Office of Environment, Health & Safety requirement on the disposal of used batteries, containers have been provided at the
- Doe south security desk (first floor),
- Doe north security desk
- Moffitt security desk.
Used batteries - including alkaline, button, rechargeable varieties - contain toxic heavy metals, they should not be disposed of in trash cans or dumpsters. Departments/units with in the Doe-Moffitt complex can deposit their used batteries at any of the security desks. Subject Specialty Libraries should contact their building coordinator for the location of disposal containers in their respective buildings.
