E-mail accounts
ALERT! Individual Library e-mail accounts will switch over to CalMail in summer 2006.
Do NOT sign up for a CalMail account on your own. Please see the
CalMail FAQ (doc) for more information.
CalMail will be setting up all the departmental accounts and providing temporary passwords. The Library Systems Office will inform department account owners of the password. Passwords should be changed as soon as possible.
Until the switchover to CalMail:
Create, change, or delete a Eudora or Pine e-mail account.
Examples: establish an e-mail account for a new employee, change from Pine e-mail to Eudora, delete an account for an employee leaving the Library.
To create, change, or delete an e-mail account, please contact:

E-mail reflectors/lists
ALERT! As of February 2006, Janet Garey is in the process of converting Library reflectors and e-mail lists to CalMail lists. After the conversion, list e-mail addresses will follow the naming convention: listname@lists.berkeley.edu.
Each list is being notified after it has been moved. The Library e-mail lists page at
www.lib.berkeley.edu/UCBonly/e_indx.html is being updated to reflect the moves.
After everyone is on CalMail, list owners will maintain lists via calmail.berkeley.edu. New lists will also be created via calmail.berkeley.edu - you will no longer need to contact the Library Help Desk. Please see the
CalMail FAQ (doc) for more information.
Unless it is an extreme emergency, please hold new list creation requests until you've seen an allusers message announcement that all of the existing lists have been moved to CalMail.
During the period of time when lists will need to be created on CalMail, but individuals have not yet been switched over to CalMail, list creation requests should be sent to Janet Garey (jgarey@library.berkeley.edu).
After everyone is on CalMail, list owners will maintain lists via calmail.berkeley.edu. New lists will also be created via calmail.berkeley.edu - you will no longer need to contact Janet, or the Library Help Desk.
