The purpose of this site is to keep the University community informed about the Moffitt renovation planning process. The site contains relevant documentation spanning the course of the project's history -- from our earliest investigations of library & technology trends and conversations with students about their needs, to the latest iteration of floor plans developed with our architectural team. The site is a record of project leadership, student and other stakeholder input, an evolving vision, and the complex, multi-layered process behind it.

The renovation and revitalization of Moffitt Library is a large-scale initiative to realize one of the University Library's major strategic goals: "To modify existing library spaces to more effectively serve the changing needs of students and faculty." (per the New Directions planning process, September 2007 - May 2008).

The renovation is one of two major fundraising priorities in the University Library's capital campaign.
