Your Repository
The first step in managing your production website with LCMS is the creation of a repository for your site's content. The repository is a collection of master copies of all the pages, images, and documents that exist on your site. Your repository is created by an LCMS administrator and resides on the LCMS server.
TIP: You can find a complete list of LCMS repository URLs here.
Your repository is managed with the Subversion version control system. Subversion identifies all changes you make to your site content and saves successive revisions of files and directories in your site structure. In effect, Subversion creates a new, unique (and easily retrieved) snapshot of your entire site every time you change any part of the site.
