Continuing members include: Beth Sibley (UCB), Mike Winter (UCD), Pauline Manaka (UCI), Roberta Medford (UCLA), Nancy Koller (UC Riverside), Sally Willson Weimer (UCSB), and Kathy Creely (UCSD).

Kathy Creely and Beth Sibley served as 1995/96 co-chairs.

PROJECTS:

Sociology Journals

After several months of work an endangered sociology journal list was compiled. It included all active journal titles held by four or fewer campuses. Each campus volunteered to accept responsibility for selected titles from the list and agreed to retain for five years. A Memorandum of Agreement was submitted to CDC and approved April 5, 1996. Roberta Medford coordinated this project.

SOCABSTRACTS DATABASE:

On March l, 1996 SocAbstracts became available on Melvyl via Firstsearch. HOPS appointed a PAIS/SocAbstracts Database Task Force and liaison group to assist with the Z39.50 implementation. Several members of the consortium are serving on the task force or as liaisons including: Mike Winter (Chair), Beth Sibley (UCB), Pauline Manaka (UCI), and Kathy Creely (UCSD).
