Email Notification Service

The UC Berkeley Library has implemented email notification for many of the circulation notices that have previously been sent only through U.S. mail. Now faculty, staff, and students may sign up for email notification using the Library patron file information update online form.

Hold pickup, recalls, and overdue notices can now be received quickly via email. Bill warnings, search notices, and claims returned searches will continue to be sent via U.S. mail.

You may also revisit the above website to switch back to postcard by mail notification temporarily if you will not be able to check your email for more than a week. Remember to "turn on" your email notification at the site when you want to resume email notification.

If the website form does not accept your four digit PIN (Personal Identification Number) consisting of your birth month and day in MMDD format, or the four digit PIN that you supplied when you obtained your library card, please contact the Privileges Desk at Doe Library at (510) 642-3403.

If your email address changes you may update it at the website.
