How to Create and Use CSA Alerts

CSA's Alert feature enables you to create a search in CSA indexes that will run automatically and email you any new records that match your search. UCB subscribes to many CSA indexes including ARTbibliographies Modern, ASFA, Environmental Sciences and Pollution Management, ERIC, GeoRef, Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts, MLA International Bibliography, PAIS International, PsychInfo, Sociological Abstracts, and Zoological Record. The Alert will run weekly for six months and notify you before it expires.
To Create an Alert
Start by running a search strategy in one or several databases.
On the results page, click Search History to see recent searches.
Click Save as Alert for the search you want to save. Other options are available for already saved searches, including Edit, Save, Delete, Return to Search, and Run Search. You will be prompted to log in to your personal profile.
Enter your e-mail address and password, and click the Continue button to log on.
Choose your Format, Limits, Databases, and add optional Comments. Click Save as Alert.
