CSEIL Annual Report: FY 2005/06
The latest versions of Camtasia and SnagIt were purchased and installed for everyone who wanted these. Student library employees in Chemistry and Engineering were great at learning Camtasia and making movies. This version of Camtasia has some slow playback features that are still being worked out. The organizational work for a two-day National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) course, "A Field Guide to GenBank and NCBI Molecular Biology Resources" was done, though the program will be held in the 2006/07 year.
CSEIL laptops are nearing five years old. They have been approved for replacement next year. CSEIL equipment was used in 26 sessions, serving 512 people.
Science and engineering librarians and library assistants continued to be active in course-related and orientation/tours instruction.
