Viva Zapata! (1952)

Directed by Elia Kazan. Cast: Marlon Brando, Jean Peters, Anthony Quinn. Emiliano Zapata, an ally of Pancho Villa, leads the Mexican peasants in a bloody revolt to overthrow a cruel dictator, Diaz. His revolt triumphs, but each successive leader is no better than Diaz.
