A Place Called Home

An Iranian woman, after living and working in the United States, explores her controversial decision to move back to Iran, to return to the place she never stopped calling home. This very personal documentary presents interviews with her family -- with her mother and sister in the United States and with her father, who chose to remain in Iran. Examining the complex layers of expatriate and cultural identities, the film also features a rare glimpse of women's lives in contemporary Tehran. A film by Persheng Sadegh-Vaziri. 1998. 30 min.
