What is Library a la Carte, and how can you use it to create easy, dynamic, slick-looking online guidesfor specific Cal Classes?
Library a la Carte is an open source, library-created content management system (CMS) that lets you create custom web content without touching Dreamweaver. The Library is now using this tool for course-related sites, and will soon be offering it as a subject guide platform. Take a look at the many course guides created by the Early Adopter group in Summer and Fall of 2010: http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/alacarte/course-guides
This class is suitable for Library a la Carte beginners - we'll take it slow and leave plenty of time for trying things out. You'll leave the class with a test course page under your belt.
