This workshop will provide a basic introduction to Google Analytics (www.google.com/analytics), an online web use tracking program. We will cover what Analytics is, how it works, and how you can  use it to evaluate the effectiveness of your website.  We will also briefly touch on other web analytics for other channels (mobile, social media, rss feeds, etc.).  The course will be geared to issues particularly relevant to selectors and subject specialists, but should be applicable for other web content creators and developers.

This workshop will introduce you to Google Analytics, a free and easy-to-use web statistics tracking program. This session is for anyone interested in learning more about Analytics and how it can offer insight into your website. Using active library Analytics accounts as examples, Char Booth with cover the basics of navigating Analytics, adding it your site, and creating basic reports.

*For Doe/Moffitt web owners and updaters interested in using the DM Analytics account specifically, there is a hands-on class on Thursday, September 24th from 10-11:30 in Doe 105.*
