How do I put a hold on a book or submit a recall request?
You can request a hold for items that are checked out by another borrower in OskiCat. By placing a hold the current borrower will receive a message that the item must be returned within seven days, and when the item is returned you will receive an email that it is available for you to pick up.
To place a hold select the "Request" button when viewing an item in OskiCat.
When you select this option you will be prompted to log in with either your Library/Cal1 card number and PIN, or your CalNet ID and passphrase. The login screen explains more about these options.
You will then be able to select the UCB library where you want the book delivered.
To view the requests you have pending, click on the MyOskiCat link, located in top right corner of each OskiCat screen.
Please note that you can follow the same process to page an item that is available on the library shelves to be picked up at a convenient library location.
