What does NRLF mean?

This stands for the Northern Regional Library Facility. Located on the Richmond Field Station grounds, NRLF is the off-site shelving facility for UC Berkeley, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, UC Merced, and UC San Francisco. Materials in all formats are shelved at NRLF including books, manuscripts, newspapers, long-playing records, microforms, audiocassettes, videotapes, and maps.

The OskiCat and Melvyl catalogs include materials kept at NRLF. UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff can request delivery to the UCB campus. For more information, see Requesting from NRLF.

Also, many NRLF items have been scanned and are available online from HathiTrust and Google Books. For more information, see our E-Books page.
