I'm not a Berkeley student/faculty/staff member. Can I access library collections?

Most areas in the UC Berkeley libraries are open to the public. Visitors may use most collections on site, including all government depository publications.

However, some areas are restricted in accordance with the Library's priority service commitment to UC Berkeley students, faculty, and staff.  Based on a visitor's information need and the Library's ability, arrangements may be made for use of restricted-access collections such as The Bancroft Library and Gardner (MAIN) Stacks.
