Is it true that JSTOR only features articles that are over three years old? Why is this? |
|||||
It's true. When you search JSTOR, you are not searching the most recent scholarship that's available. JSTOR stands for "Journal Storage," meaning that it is an archive in which current issues (generally the most recent 3-5 years) are not yet accessible. That said, JSTOR journal subscriptions usually span back to when the journal began publication, which gives you access to much more full-text content than many other article databases. For recent articles from different disciplines, you can try Academic Search Complete or Google Scholar, or look through our full list of subject article databases. |
