Join us for a literary event 100 years in the making as
The University Library introduces a new publication
from one of America’s best loved authors, Samuel Clemens.

The Autobiography of Mark Twain

Celebrate this momentous release with a reception benefiting
the Mark Twain Project.

The Bancroft Library, UC Berkeley

5:00 Reception with refreshments inspired by the author
6:00 Welcome remarks and a toast to Mark Twain
7:00 Authors, artists, and friends reading their favorite Twain passages
8:00 Close with the presentation of the Autobiography of Mark Twain, Volume 1 to guests
Scheduled to appear are Michael Chabon, Bob Haas, Robert Hass, I. Michael Heyman, Maxine Hong Kingston, Eric Karpeles, Rita Moreno, Walter Murch, Mary Roach, Ayelet Waldman, and Frederick Wiseman.

With a spectacular display of Twain artifacts and manuscript materials never before presented to the public.
