Collection Description
The UC Berkeley Library maintains a research-level collection in Gender and Women's
Studies which supports the research and teaching programs not only of the
Gender and Women's Studies Department but of many other disciplines, interdisciplinary programs and professional schools.
Most of the humanities and social sciences material in Gender and Women's Studies are housed in the Gardner (MAIN) Stacks.
There are additional materials in the subject specialty libraries. Reference materials are located in the
Reference Center including the North Reading Room and the Reference Hall (2nd floor, Doe Library).

A number of journals in Gender and Women's Studies (including Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Studies) are available electronically. Access to these titles is restricted to on-campus users and currently enrolled students, faculty and staff.
