Collection Description

The UC Berkeley Library maintains a research-level collection in Public Policy Studies which supports the research and teaching programs not only of the Goldman School for Public Policy but of many other disciplines, interdisciplinary programs and professional schools.

The major part of the public policy collection is housed in the Gardner (MAIN) Stacks in Doe Library. Materials in this area may also be found in selected subject speciality libraries such as Business/Economics, Social Welfare or in affiliated libraries such as Institute of Governmental Studies or Law. Reference materials in the social sciences, are located in the Reference Center on the 2nd floor of Doe. Government documents reference sources, including statistical and legislative items, are shelved in the North Reading Room of the Doe Reference Center.
