full text of bills, laws, regulations, testimony, and other congressional
sources.

- Indexes federal, state, and international statistical sources
and provides links to online text where available. Publications
are also available on microfiche. Ask at Doe Ref Desk.
- UNBISnet.
- Compilation of ten databases providing bibliographic access to
UN and non-UN publications. Includes full text of resolutions, voting
records, and citations to speeches and agendas.
- Access
UN.
- 1944- Indexes United Nations documents with links to online text
where available; documents also available on fiche, 1983 to present
as well as in paper. Check for periodic reports by states parties
to various international human rights agreements and reports of
the Special Rapporteurs on the status of human rights in particular
countries.
UN Documents Sources
The most comprehensive source for UN human rights documentation is
the home page of the UN High Commissioner
for Human Rights. This site provides electronic text of the human
rights treaty and charter based bodies and periodic reports by states,
press releases, etc.

A print version, though dated, is entitled United Nations reference
guide in the field of human rights (K3236.U65 1993 Gov Ref). It provides
UN document symbols for all UN studies and reports on human rights and
related aspects, arranged in broad categories, with more specific subject
and regional indexes.
Additionally, UN-I-QUE,
a reference database of the Dag
Hammarskjöld (UN) Library that indexes selected UN documents
from 1946 to present. With the UN symbol number, reports can be found
in the UN fiche collection in GREF (Microfiche 10982). We may also have
paper copies of recent reports.
Sessional reports issued by treaty or charter based bodies can be
found online at UNHCHR or through
AccessUN
(documents available on fiche in GREF as Microfiche 10982). We also
get paper copies though our collection may not always be up to date.

"For the Record: The UN Human Rights System" which provides an annual
country-by-country overview of human rights issues with links to relevant
UN documents. Reports available from 1997 to present.
- University of Minnesota
Human Rights Library.
- A joint project of Yale Law School, Univ. of Toronto Law School
and the University of Minnesota. Each site has different information
- Yale focuses on human rights legal cases and documents, and Toronto
on women's human rights resources.
