Conditions and Policies for Use
The following conditions and policies have been established for the best maintenance and use of the Morrison Library for special events. Once you have received confirmation that your reservation has been approved, please review and adhere to the following guidelines. We appreciate your cooperation.
Maximum capacities: dinner - 100 persons; lecture - 200 persons; receptions - 250 persons
Arrangements for catering, audio-visual equipment, security, movement of furniture, and clean-up are the responsibility of the organization using the facility. Additional tables and chairs must be removed and the original furniture realigned throughout the Morrison Library at the end of the event.
Caterers must contact the Morrison Library at least two (2) weeks in advance to discuss the availability and details with regard to electrical power, lighting and furniture configurations.
Costs for any damage to the building, equipment or furnishings caused by the organization or by persons attending the event will be promptly paid for by the responsible party.
Alcoholic beverages may be served only after a "Notice of Event at which Alcoholic Beverages will be Served" form has been approved and is on file with the UC Berkeley Police Department. Only those individuals age 21 and over may be served alcoholic beverages.
Student organizations must have a faculty sponsor/advisor sign this agreement and be present for the duration of the event.
All events must end by 10:00 p.m.
Events are not scheduled on weekends except by special permission of the Morrison Library. Special permission must be requested in writing one month in advance.
