Collection Description
The Library collects materials in a variety of formats including print, microfiche, electronic and Web resources, to support a core collection in energy and resources, with major emphasis on those works with a social sciences perspective. Materials that focus on more science related environmental topics can be found in the relevant subject specialty libraries (see below). Subjects collected in the Doe Research Library include U.S. and International energy and environmental policy, climate change, environmental economics, environmental justice, sustainable development, and general works on alternative sources of energy, to mention a few. In addition, the Doe/Moffitt Libraries’ acquire government publications through depository, exchange, and cooperative programs, which contain extensive holdings on subjects such as development, economics, the environment and sustainable development, from organizations such as the United Nations, IAEA, and World Bank, etc. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of ERG research, it is important to note that relevant publications and electronic resources can also be found in other subject specialty libraries, such as Biosciences, Business/Economics, Earth Sciences, Engineering, Environmental Design, Governmental Studies, Law, and Public Health.
