Download and Install WinSCP and PuTTY on a Windows XP machine with IE7
WinSCP is a secure FTP
client that replaces SSH Secure File Transfer. PuTTY is a secure shell
client that replaces SSH Secure Shell.
If you only need secure FTP access to
a Library machine (example: ftp-only access to your work-related files on
sunsite.berkeley.edu or library11.berkeley.edu), then you just need to
download and install WinSCP.
However, if you also need secure shell
access to a Library machine (example: sunsite.berkeley.edu or
library11.berkeley.edu), then you must also download and install PuTTY.
