Save a Library Web page via Internet Explorer, Netscape and Firefox
Internet Explorer
Netscape 7.x
Netscape 4.x
Firefox 2.x
Internet Explorer (IE)
- Open your IE browser.
- Go to the file you want to save.
- Click on the menu bar option named View.
- Click on Source.
- The file will hopefully now open up in Notepad.
- In Notepad, click on file, then save as.
- Change the file type from .txt to all files.
- Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file.
- Save the file with the existing name (e.g. "guides.html").
Netscape 7.x
- Open your Netscape 7.x browser.
- Go to the file you want to save.
- Click on the menu bar option named View.
- Click on Page Source.
- The file will open up in a Notepad-like viewer.
- In the viewer, click on file, then Save Page As.
- Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file.
- Save the file with the existing name (e.g. "guides.html").
Netscape 4.x
- Open your Netscape 4.x browser.
- Go to the file you want to save.
- Click on the menu bar option named File.
- Click on Save as....
- In the dialog box that appears on the screen, decide to where you
would like this file to be saved.
- Your PC will most likely choose c:\netscape as the saving destination.
You can change this destination to any directory/drive you like.
Firefox 2.x
- Open your Firefox 2.x browser.
- Go to the file you want to save.
- Click on the menu bar option named File.
- Click on Save Page As.
- Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file.
- In the Save as type menu list, select Web Page, HTML only.
- Save the file with the existing name (e.g. "guides.html").
The file now lives locally (on your computer, network drive, etc.), and is ready to be edited/updated/corrected/tweaked in your favorite HTML
editing tool.
After you have worked your magic on the file, save it, and then FTP the edited file to webman.
