Internet Explorer (IE)

  1. Open your IE browser.
  2. Go to the file you want to save.
  3. Click on the menu bar option named View.
  4. Click on Source.
  5. The file will hopefully now open up in Notepad.
  6. In Notepad, click on file, then save as.
  7. Change the file type from .txt to all files.
  8. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file.
  9. Save the file with the existing name (e.g. "guides.html").

Netscape 7.x

  1. Open your Netscape 7.x browser.
  2. Go to the file you want to save.
  3. Click on the menu bar option named View.
  4. Click on Page Source.
  5. The file will open up in a Notepad-like viewer.
  6. In the viewer, click on file, then Save Page As.
  7. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file.
  8. Save the file with the existing name (e.g. "guides.html").

Netscape 4.x

  1. Open your Netscape 4.x browser.
  2. Go to the file you want to save.
  3. Click on the menu bar option named File.
  4. Click on Save as....
  5. In the dialog box that appears on the screen, decide to where you would like this file to be saved.
  6. Your PC will most likely choose c:\netscape as the saving destination. You can change this destination to any directory/drive you like.

Firefox 2.x

  1. Open your Firefox 2.x browser.
  2. Go to the file you want to save.
  3. Click on the menu bar option named File.
  4. Click on Save Page As.
  5. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file.
  6. In the Save as type menu list, select Web Page, HTML only.
  7. Save the file with the existing name (e.g. "guides.html").

The file now lives locally (on your computer, network drive, etc.), and is ready to be edited/updated/corrected/tweaked in your favorite HTML editing tool.

After you have worked your magic on the file, save it, and then FTP the edited file to webman.
