Create lists using Netscape Composer

Description List
Bullet List
Numbered List

Description List (use for citations, etc.)

In a description list, the title of the list remains flush left, the text of the list is indented to the right.

  1. Highlight the text that you want to include in the list.
  2. Under Format, select Lists, select Description.
  3. Highlight the first title in the list (the text that you want to remain flush left).
  4. Click on the Normal menu list, select Desc. Title.
  5. Highlight the text that describes the first title.
  6. Click on the Normal menu list, select Desc. Text.
  7. Continue this procedure for all of the description titles and description text in your list.

Bullet List

In a bullet list, all of the items will be indented to the right, and proceeded by a bullet. To delete an unwanted/extraneous bullet, click on the Normal menu list (List Item will appear in the window), scroll up the menu and select Normal.

  1. Highlight the text that you want to include in the list.
  2. Click on the Bullet List icon on the tool bar, OR under Format, select Lists, select Bulleted.

Numbered List

In a numbered list, all of the items will be indented to the right, and proceeded by a hash (#) mark. The hash marks will appear as numbers via a browser. To delete an unwanted/extraneous hash mark/number, click on the Normal menu list (List Item will appear in the window), scroll up the menu and select Normal.

  1. Highlight the text that you want to include in the list.
  2. Click on the Numbered List icon on the tool bar, OR under Format, select Lists, select Numbered.
