Best Practices

Project websites designed and built by the DPG conform to the following standards:

Coding:
Websites are coded according to the W3C XHTML 1.0 Transitional DTD.

Accessibility:
All websites are Priority 1-compliant according to the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0.

Graphics:
Images created or modified for illustrative purposes are optimized, with a resolution of 72-150ppi. Illustrative images are either GIF or JPG format. Copies of the original image files are saved in PNG format and are available upon request.

Metadata:
Every webpage in a website contains "keyword" and "description" meta tags. DPG can offer guidance to project participants regarding the selection of metadata terms, but DPG is not responsible for providing metadata for project websites.
