26th Biennial Groundwater Conference
and 16th Annual Meeting of the
Groundwater Resources Association of California
September 18-19, 2007
Sacramento Convention Center
Sacramento, California
California's Water Future: Expanding the Role of Groundwater
About the Conference:
The University of California organized the first statewide groundwater conference in 1957 for professionals in water sciences to
engage in discussions of policy, management and technical issues in a colloquium atmosphere. Since then, the Biennial Conference
has strived to reach out to all stakeholders and interested parties and provide policy makers, practitioners, researchers, and
educators the opportunity to learn about the current policies, regulations, and technical challenges affecting the use and
management of groundwater in California.
Sponsors of the Biennial Conference now include public agencies, professional organizations, and a nonprofit educational
organization. The most recent Conference (2005), also in Sacramento, California, drew over 300 participants.
