Sounds like you are off to a great start with ideas. When I taught a loooong
summer school media class a few years ago (3 hrs at a crack) I used part of
the class time each day to screen a different type of video (social doc,
classroom instructional, arts, etc.) to give the class an idea of the variety
of materials available. They evaluated each program shown based on the type
of library they intended to work in. (I did a session on media evaluation at
the very beginning).
