Our security system is also 3m. For compact discs we have been using the
strips with the clear plastic overlay that adheres directly to the
nonfunctioning side of the cd. Since DVD's use both sides of the disc (at
least the majority of them), we have yet to figure out how to secure them.
Our best option appears to be not to secure them at all but to check them
out at their closed stack location (the set up right now is to get the item
in media and then check it out at circulation).
