Fear and Desire (1953)

I would really like to thank everyone who sent messages of assistance in
locating a print of this film. I thought that perhaps since Kubrick's death,
this film might turn up in distribution.

Since the professor's curriculum seems to be causing intrigue: yes, he is
showing "Killer's Kiss," along with a semester full of "Dr. Strangelove,"
"Paths of Glory," "The Shining," "2001"...you get the picture...and he hopes
to assign "Eyes Wide Shut" upon its release for students to see outside of
class. I believe his intentions are that seeing a first film, bad or not,
especially by an acclaimed filmmaker (thereafter), is inspiring to students
for many reasons. And, I think seeing bad films is a must in order to
understand and appreciate the good, and even great, ones. And, most of the
students have seen the proverbial Kubrick favorites anyhow. However, I did
not necessarily plan this topic of discussion but do appreciate the opinions
in showing/locating this film as well.

Thanks again!
