At the start of the film, Melvin Van Peebles's son, Mario (as the young
soon-to-be-nicknamed Sweet Sweetback), is somewhat graphically
raped/seduced by an older woman. Unlike in the case of the Tin Drum,
Mario was not an adult playing a child, he WAS a child. I think this
film, though available in many library collections, could very possibly
face problems in regard to current child pornography laws, regardless of
what category of library it is in.
