We have a sizable collection of graphic films and videos which
are used as curriculum support for our human sexuality classes.
Our entire media collection is "paged," so they are not out in
the open. The items are clearing identified in our online
database and on each item. The restrictions are: "Faculty,
Staff and Student Checkout Only" and "Not To Be Played Over
Closed Circuit Or In Public Carrels." We put students in small
group rooms and entire classes in our large group rooms which
hold 60+ people.

Film Sweet Sweetback's...

Colleagues,

RE: Van Peebles, Melvin. Sweet Sweetback's Baadasssss Song

I would like to know if other academic collections have
acquired this film (and/or other sexually graphic/explicit or
violently graphic material) and how you handle these types of films.
Does your library use a warning notice or restriction notes?

Thanks in advance,
