Performance of excerpts from Harold Pinter's plays "The Room" and "A Slight
Ache" currently (1965) at the Writers Stage in New York City. Performers:
"The Room"-- Frances Sternhagen, Margaret Linn, and Ian Jenkins. "A Slight
Ache"-- Frances Sternhagen and Henderson Forsythe. Includes brief interview
with director Word Baker. Each of these plays is in one act, and each
presents one of Pinter's recurrent themes -- the prison in which individuals
live as the result of their inability truly to communicate with each other.
