Dear Kate,

I rented a 16mm copy of this Schlemmer piece about 20 years ago from the
German Embassy. It still might be at West Glen. Now I'm also sure this was a
later re-creation of the piece in color and I don't know if the original 20s
film exists in full or even at all. Unless you get better advice from the list
(highly likely), you should try West Glen, the Museum of Modern Art
Distribution Dept or John Muller's Dance Film Archive at the University of
Rochester if it's still around (I'm a bit out of touch with dance historians
these days). You also might want to get advice from the Dance Archive at the
NYPL at Lincoln Center.

I've been asked to track down a video or even a film copy entitled "Triadic
Ballet" by Oscar Schlemmer. It was filmed around about 1923, and
apparently there is a video version available, but I cannot track it down.
It was part of the Bauhaus movement.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
