I think this whole banned videos thing is an interesting thread, as I
was trying to find out the same type of information for an in-house
project here at SMU. But, the info was hard to dig up.
I wonder, does Banned Books Week refer only to American
publications because it is sponsored by the ALA?
As I was searching for "banned" films, of which there seem to
very few given our 1st amendment rights, I thought of all the
films in other nations which have been banned or censored either
in full or in part as a result of their political, religious or
gender orientation. Through the years I have heard of filmakers in
the PRC or Central America or in the former Soviet bloc whose films
were restricted in their own countries.
Can anyone provide me with titles or filmakers' names?
