We have a collection of descriptive video titles and they are very popular.
However, these titles are not part of the audiovisual collection. They
are circulation by the Section for the Blind and Physically Handicapped,
part of the Library of Congress, National Library Service for the Blind and
Physically Handicapped. Patrons must be registered with NLS to check them
out. (Our library's titles are purchased through a gift from a private
foundation. They are not part of NLS.) The titles are circulated
throughout our state to the blind and visually impaired.

Persons who are not visually impaired would find these titles very
distracting. For example, the "Sound of Music" begins "a young woman with
short blonde hair wearing a black dress and gray smock...."

You may wish to check with your state's library for the blind and see if
they offer a descriptive video service.
