VRT Gala Starring John Waters

"Shock Value: An Evening with John Waters" is the 1998 ALA Video Round
Table Gala event. Sunday, June 28, 7:00 - 11:00 p.m. is the time, and
the Rosslyn Spectrum Theatre, 1611 N Kent Street, Arlington VA is the place.

Hors d'oeuvres are being catered by the Lebanese Taverna, one of Metro
D.C.'s "very best" restaurants. Baba Ghannoug, Hommos, Tabouleh,
Sambousick, Fatayer, Cous-Cous Pilaf, Lebanese Potato Salad, Grape
Leaves, Falafel, and Baklava are the delicious appetizers being served.

And word is just in that the award-winning jazz saxophonist, Ron
Holloway, and his jazz trio will be performing for us, immediately after
their afternoon engagement at Wolf Trap Performing Arts Center!

Tickets are now available at $20 each for Video Round Table members; $25
for non-members, guests. Send check, made out to ALA Video Round Table,
with your name, address, and phone number to: Jim Massey, Harford County

Jim is already receiving many ticket requests because of the advance
publicity in April American Libraries. So, to avoid disappointment, mail
in your check today, or no later than May 15!

The Rosslyn Spectrum is easily accessible by Metro. Check out Metro's
website at http://www.wmata.com Look at the Metro Subway Map. Take
Metro's Orange or Blue line from Metro Center(the Convention Center stop)
to Rosslyn Station--the 4th stop and walk 2 blocks East. The Rosslyn
Spectrum is just across Kent Street from the Newseum, which is clearly
marked on all Metro maps.
