RE: video collection classification systems

UCB MRC uses accession numbering in two series: one for theatrical works
and one for non-theatrical (non-fiction)...in closed stacks. One argument
in favor of this admittedly quirky system is that it saves room in limited
storage facilities (in other words, we're not bound by the geographic
tyranny of LC classification). On the other hand, I sorta wish we had the
ability to shelf browse by call number in the OPAC...
